Pepper

Pepper
Birthday: 1 June 2021
Sex: Male
Breed: Mixed
Size: Small

Summary
Meet Pepper, a happy-go-lucky little chap, who’s undergone a remarkable
transformation over the last 4 months or so. After enduring the trauma of
abandonment he has slotted in as one of the gang at the sanctuary and is
incredibly affectionate with people.

History
Pepper roamed the streets, appearing suddenly in a local village where he
was previously unknown. A kind shopkeeper fed him and the local
municipality treated him for parasites but he remained unclaimed and in a
sorry state. The shopkeeper contacted the sanctuary and Pepper was
eventually safely rescued. He was underweight, covered in ticks and
completely terrified. There was no microchip and despite enquiries and
notices posted by the rescue nobody came forward. His incredible
rehabilitation is an example of how dogs can calm and reassure their own
species.

Personality
Pepper is extremely sincere and loving. He loves to play and gets on well
with the other dogs but he also knows his own mind. When he’s had
enough, he says so!
He responds to his name and has already learned basic commands.
Compatibility
Pepper would need to be the only dog in the home. Due to his over-zealous
enthusiasm with cats, a cat free environment would also be necessary. Any
children should be over the age of 10.

Medical
Pepper is microchipped, neutered and has had his mandatory rabies
vaccination. He will be screened for all mediterranean diseases before
departing for his new life.
